Wow, Mindtricks alright. I’m not even jumping and my mind is playing tricks, stressing at the possibility of something going wrong. But it never does. These guys are pro’s, hard bastards that have taken over 30 massive hits into TheAirbag every day from up to around 10m above the bag for the last week. Still; no rest for my nerves especially with yesterday’s first ‘compulsory flip’ first hits. Four each, head wind and a huge landing to clear, but all safely touched down.
Jed Mildon and Jake Prebble will make history today, im sure. The list of tricks seen this week is incredible, even if a quarter are landed on this setup it will be more world firsts than a Nitro Circus show. Thumb taping for both riders every day, but no complaints about taking hit after hit on sore body parts, knowing every hit into TheAirbag helps become comfortable on this 45ft long, 45ft high step-up.
A sneak peak at practice.
Come this afternoon, once history is made, ive got a whole bunch of footage i’ll share to give a glance at the training that went into this event. A more in depth look into the whole build-up will help share how dedicated Jed has been to get this goal. And massive props to Jake Prebble that has continuiously hit and tricked a jump designed to give enough pop for a triple flip. Thanks for the free internet McDonalds, i’m off to the event,
Ciau.
